I use my Pi for DOS games all the time and I don't notice any tearing. The only setting I changed was RAM which I took from 16 to 32 so I could play Blood.

What have you done so far? What errors are you encountering? There's not a whole lot anyone can do to help you without any more information.

You said you just got your pi this afternoon. Have you read through any of the documentation provided in the RetroPie wiki yet?

I've installed Windows 3.1 within DOSBox on the pi. Runs well, but there weren't many good games for Windows 3.1...except maybe Ski-free!

Or just try another core. Example my emaulador dafult is lr-mame2003 and the second option is lr-imame4all.
Does not work in all cases but reduce these screens (NAG).

Saying it had an error log isn't helpful if you want assistance. Post the contents of the error log listed as requested on the first page:

    https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

Likely you had a network issue where they weren't completely installed.

I use mame 2003 (romset.78). But for some games with NAG screen, I use lr-imame4all (the same romset .78).

    hello there Irondad
emulation of amiga is a top priority for me, i simply love this machine. im very happy uae4arm emulate it so well. allready prepared some hdf files (with whdl games) which are working very well.
for some time im trying to figure it out how to use this command line (-f). i did so much different things (including manualy creation of .sh file) and none of it seems to work (im using retropie 3.6 on rpi3b2). all the time uae4arm starts with a gui and default setting and thats it. can you please give me kind of "step-by-step" tutorial ? or at least some clues ;) i'll be much gratefull

    regards

    ps
also i was thinking about this "exit" problem with uae4arm. as far as i know you enter gui by clicking "left ctrl" and then you can exit program with "Q". meaby theres a way to bind somehow those two buttons (left ctrl+Q) into one button on the joypad (or at least one of them as "start" and other as "select")? it would solve the problem.

anyway, looking forward for "mastering" amiga emulation on retropie ;)
    cheers

    ps ps

    @mrmartin79

I am pleased to announce I managed to get the RPi3 to pair with the PS3 controller. Only thing I had to do was update the RetroPie Script to v3.7, reboot, plug in the PS3 controller with a USB, disconnect the PS3 and then press the home button. I never even bothered to go into the pair menu or anything.

I paired 3 PS3 controllers with the builtin bluetooth.

@scroeffie Xbox and Pi don't even run the same architecture, not to mention the risk of copyright

@BuZz mentioned in another thread that using the PS3 install disables the Bluetooth... Could that have been the issue
