@jackknife18846 the partition you're referring to is not recognised by Windows as it is a Linux partition. You can either put it into a Linux laptop to browse it, or use other methods of getting ROMS etc on (these are all in the official documentation).

You can use your local network to browse to the Pi and copy the ROMS that way, or us the USB copy method instead.

    @mitu

Ill try that, just for fun. My intention is to set it in Kiosk eventually and leave it alone. Its not hard to SSH into the pi and change it if needed on occasion. ok, im an idiot. I was "assuming" that id press the buttons during the splashscreen, not in the second after it dissapears. It is working perfect. My misunderstanding. Thats an interesting idea, I will try and check it out, I will need to undo some things on the core options and move them but I feel this may actually work. I was obviously thinking too hard and forgot about the retroarch.cfg overrides. GREAT IDEA!

@dj-wheels That's too bad about the microswitches. I got all of my pushbutton and joystick components from them (this was ages ago) and I have not had problems. I think I had one switch failure since 2009 out of 48 switches (cherry).

Thx for the replies and suggestions!

Found the problem: the Pi did not get enough power. I switched to another power source and it works :)

    So this can be locked!

@pbrook67 The commands @dudleydes posted should be executed from a command prompt, best to use SSH since you can easily copy & paste the command.
Regarding your other post, I don't what ultimate Intellivision console is, my suggestion would update the emulator (jzintv) to the latest version available in RetroPie, nothing more.

Did you see this at the top of the page?

"Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first"

If you can complete the information requested in that post, then we will see what we can do to help.

Thanks for looking into this. I'll try it when I get home. Anyone figure out why you can't toggle the "disable" switch in retroarch and have it save?

I sorted it. One of the joysticks was upside down. it configured correctly but when playing a game it was back to front, strange but fixed now.

@zmirli13 said in PS3 Controller - Bluetooth Woes:

I think you posted to the wrong thread... this is over a year old, and after translating what you wrote, it didn't apply to the OP... something about xbox testing and hd screens....

@alturis I'm not fully sure about the theming aspects of it, and how that's structured.

The custom-collection theme folder has the theme settings for all the custom collections that will be grouped under the "my collections" err... collection, as sub-folders.

You won't be able to further customize them there - there is a single theme/layout for each ES "system".

If, however, you're looking to add specific custom collection artwork, add them to the root of the theme. Look at some of the other custom collections (mario, kids, shmups) in that theme for a good example. These will show at the main carousel level, though, not inside the "My Collections" folder.

Thank you @mitu for the quick and, arguably, more importantly, accurate information. Too many times I have been given a solution that just leads me down a rabbit hole that never ends but this was a one-stop solution.!
