@lipebello Custom Collections is officially released. Can you make a theme folder for it?

Sure thing! gonna make custom collections, odyssey 2 and daphne for the next update. Need to research about Z-machine, because i've never seen anything about it yet.

          @lipebello

          This might help a bit.

I have an O2 console (not my original, but a replacement at least) and all my old games. Very identifiable style and colour palette on the box arts, for those who remember them. Example here: https://stiggyblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/29/odyssey-2-game-box-art/ Will be interesting to see how you interpret it and make it your own.

For Z-Machine, In the Comic Book theme it's called "Infocom", which is likely the best title, and the main company for the most famous text adventures. The Z stands of course for the Zork series. You can research Infocom with these links. There's also the documentary "Get Lamp". Oh, and if there's not a Hitchhiker's Guide "Don't Panic!" button in your eventual screen... you're doing it wrong :)

I'm 46... though i could be 47... They say -something- is the first to go, I forget what. Memory maybe. Math is the second to go, so I'm probably +/- a year either way.

Go play O2's "Showdown in 2100 A.D." against a friend and let me know how you like it.

Wow! Zork I! never played because when i only started to learn english when i was 15 and the Nes RPGs had those beautiful maps and battles.
But i played a lot of Ian Livingstone's books. Those were awesome.

I'd like to get my kids into some text adventures. Anyone who had the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books (I'm sure there are descendants of them today, and there are certainly iOS games) found the Infocom games pretty interesting and easy to get into.

I'm positive I played the HitchHiker's Guide game before I read the book(s). I think that was part of the plan, so it worked. Fun fact: I have my original Hitchhiker's Guide "invisi-clues" (game solutions) book.

                    Hello,

It's a real work of art. Thank you very much.

I use emulationstation on windows and I use the emulators for ps2, wii and wiiu. Have you planned to make themes for these consoles?

One thing I've noticed is that my images for Neo Geo games don't show up when using this theme, but they do for any other theme. I've tried changing the VRAM limit to 80, but no luck so far. Any other ideas?

I've noticed that box art doesn't show when view mode is set to auto, but only for systems with video snaps when no video is available for a particular game.
E.g. My Neo-Geo pocket colour only has boxart and no video snaps. Box art shows fine as it would in detail view.
A few of my Japanese Mega Drive games only have box art but 95% of them have videos. The videos show fine but the games that don't have videos, don't show the box art in place of the video.
Is there a way to implement this feature so that when a game has no video snap, the box art will show in its place? Comic book theme does this so thought this would also.

@mrjordaaany - I'm a noob in retropie, the only two things that i know to fix this is ser the vram limit to 80 and overclocking.

@gaavoid - i need to mark the option for ES show snaps when there's no video available. gonna do that on the next update.

@gaavoid You hit the nail on the head! This is exactly the issue. They only thing different for my Neo Geo games is that there is a few videos in there. So changing it from auto will solve it, but I will loose videos for now.

@lipebello Sounds like you are on it :) Look forward to the next update. Love the overlays too. Where did you find that awesome image of Tarma in the Metal Slug?

@MrJordaaany - I drew it. All characters and consoles are hand drawings, the rest is vector.

@lipebello I gotta say man, that's pretty incredible. Knowing they are now hand-drawn really speaks for the quality of the theme. Tarma in the Metal Slug has to be my favorite from the theme, you really nailed the artistic style of Metal Slug perfectly. Top job.

At some point I am going to make a bartop Neo Geo themed arcade. Would love to use your Tarma drawing if you let me.

I'm currently are using your existing overlay's, so can't wait for these system specifics ones - to go with your theme and system boot screens of course.

                                            Fantastic stuff!
