Chopped up a table...

So, I'm no coder, but I do mess around with artwork on PS, I'm more of a hands-on-work-it-out-with-tools kinda' guy.
With a toddler running around, I wanted to keep my Pi and associated accessories out of the way, but I didn't just want them thrown in a drawer or stuffed in a box, I wanted them somewhere accessible. So, I modified a couple of IKEA LACK side tables and put some fancy foam inside to store it (Shadowfoam, love this stuff), but so it looked pretty when it was opened. Spare SD cards and charger cables for the pads are in cut-outs under the keyboard.
And thats it really. Quite pleased with how it turned out, although this was V2 (V1 was....not good). I started this earlier in the year but it took a back seat when I redecorated the lounge and sorted some garden stuff out. Nice to finally finish it!
More images of it's rather haphazard construction can be found in my Flickr Album for any interested.

@danorak1981 this is super kool! Love the foam, makes it really professional looking! Do I see car tailgate struts?

Thanks! The foam is great stuff: www.shadowfoam.com: it's so ruddy addictive. I built my own computer desk and used Shadowfoam inside the drawer to keep it tidy, see here.
The struts are actually kitchen cabinet struts for lift up cupboard doors, but you can buy them fairly inexpensively on eBay, but they are essentially the same thing, just much smaller! Made it feel a little more polished, plus it means I can leave the lid open and leave the keyboard there so it doesn't move when I'm doing some casual Amiga gaming.

Man this is so awesome! I love it, nice work.
I've never heard of shadow foam before, but will check it out. I attempted something similar a while back with my Switch using this packaging foam and a scalpel. Had a smart flight case for it to sit inside as well.
The cut out I made wasn't as clean as I had hoped tbh, it was functional, but not smart enough for my liking.
Maybe it's something I'll revisit in the future using this stuff.
