updated and working great thank you (ooohh shiny!)

We have nes and snes and megadrive and N64 controller clones...we need at least a six-button pcengine controller...I feel like the sega police are going to come get me for using the "wrong" controller ;)

People want things easy...but then complain that life is boring...

@akafox i modified all my pc engine controllers for my setup. I recommend the avenue pad 3 and the avenue pad 6. You could probably use an nec avenue pad 6 controller (or any other pc engine controller) with one of these:

@akafox Why? No pc-engine game requires a 6 button pad. It's recommended for sf2, but at that point, why not play the arcade version instead? I modified a pce pad with some ps3 chip the size of a quarter that I was never going to use. Pad feels a bit too loose but I think it's more due to the wear and tear. I bought it used. I wouldn't mind buying a new pce/tg16 2button pad, but they're impossible to get. There's one ebay seller that sells "oem" new but they're too much $ .

@darksavior that is not correct. All of the pc engine cd "arcade" games require a 6 button controller as they are all 4 button games. And saying "why not play the arcade version" if we all did that why play any games that arent on mame? I enjoy playing the same game on several consoles. I dont like confining myself to one version.

@edmaul69 I like to play the definitive version of games. Not limiting myself at all. There is the rare occasion where the console ports are better. Like Rush N Attack/Green Beret. In some cases, completely different games that share the name only. Ports of arcade fighting games? Not that I know of. There might a few that might add extra characters (sfa3) or maybe different art for endings (sf2 snes).

Back in the day when these games we're released I would've been fine, but there's so many choices now with emulation that I have the luxury to choose the best version. Usually people go to the ports for nostalgia, not because it's "better".

Well that is what I mean..why no tg-16 or celeco..or even intellivision usb controllers?

We have everything else...yeah I know most games for the pc engine was 2-buttons..but why not get a 6-button.."so I have one" well I didn'tmean to start a "fight" i'll use the genesis pad...I can use a nes pad for two button..but no turbo. Yeah I can use the genesis...

@akafox here are a 2 player and 1 player adapters for intellivision and coleco plus most 9 pin controllers. The 2 player ultimate pc interface does more than the single player vision-daptor. (Both made by same person) I use these adapters. Best adapters made.

                    ultimate pc interface

                    vision-daptor

                    2600-daptor

                    5200-daptor

                    astro-daptor

                    neo-geo-daptor

So i fixed my issue...did a crc check on the syscard.pce bios...it was the wrong checksum. Finding the correct checksum bios solved my problems.
