lr-mame2003 driver improvement and backport

Hi

I create this topic to speak and test the backported drivers by @gamez-fan to Mame2003 from Mame 2010 and others ...
It help to have more games to works fine on PI3 with Mame 2003 that use less power than Mame 2010 that is slow on PI3 :(

IMHO the only game in this driver worth playing is Lode Runner The Dig Fight but it boots with 2 screens displayed side by side.

If possible @gamez-fan it can be really interesting to think to this problem :

Libretro Overlay artwork is supported. Mame artwork supports also backdrop (Libretro does not) but only in the old .art mame format. This old format has issues in correctly setting artwork.
LAY format was introduced with Mame versions after .106 adn works great.
Could .LAY support be backported to lr-Mame2003 ?
Mame2010 does support it but it's way too slow on a Pi3 if you enable artwork. Even Space Invaders becomes too slow with full bezel and backdrop.

It can be fantastic to have that on MAME 2003 <3

  Asura Buster (asurabus) - Working fine but i have an echo and sound play two times. No problem with FBA.
  Asura Blade (asurabld) - Working fine
  Double Dragon (ddragon) - Working fine but some slowdown not on FBA
  Power Instinct Legends (plegends) - Working fine
  Rampage World Tour (rmpgwt) - Working fine (think to update volume on dipswitch like MK)
  Snowboard Championship Work (snowboar) - Impossible to make it load

• Rom from other Romset to replace :
  Counter Run (countrnb) - Working fine
  Lode Runner The Dig Fight (loderndf) - Impossible to make it load. Working fine with 2 screens on FBA.

• New Rom :
  Go Go! Mile Smile (gogomile) - Working fine
  Hyper Street Fighter II - Aniversary edition (hsf2a) - Working fine. Same as hsf2 on FBA
  Vasara 2 (vasara2) - Working fine but music is slow ...

• For NEOGEO i don't know what set of rom i must to try ???

For Neogeo all Roms and the Bios are still MAME78!! Except for the ones i recently added @darknior as i mentioned to ya on the github
use the NeoGeo Roms from your MAMEoXtras set for the newly supported ones.

Sound is not 100% in this one i just added it while hooking up the sound for Asura Blade in MAME78

Thanks for whatever you do on the Mame end. I'm afraid it will probably be quite a while until I get a pi 3 and do any arcade related stuff myself, but it's awesome to see that you're on the case. It's in great hands. :)

I can't really help, i launch them, i have the black screen like if the game will start, and it come back to ES.

Just boot Vasara in this Emulator and tell me if the sound is slow in this game or not.

Yes but you have to do it via the dip switch options look for monitors and select A Only

in the following Midway games..........

All Midway Y-Unit
All Midway T-Unit barring MK2 which uses DCS sound

This could be of great benefit for users of this MAME core on lesser hardware. Drivers that will be affected by this change...
