I've noticed some of the Neo Geo games have multiple parts, each in their own zip files. This really makes the menu system look like crap as each zip shows up as its own entry in the games list. Does anyone know if you can combine these multi-part zip file games into one zip and have them run or is having multiple zip files for these games just how they have to be?

@tropez Which games? I can't think of any NEO-GEO games that are split like this.

All of these games have multiple zip files that make up the one game. Any places I found with single zip files and the games just don't run. The packs I have that do have the games that run have multiple files that make up the full game.

          King of Fighters '95
          King of Fighters '96
          King of Fighters '97
          King of Fighters '99
          King of Fighters 2003
          Last Blade
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 - The Newcomers
          Samurai Shodown
          Samurai Shodown III
          Samurai Showdown V Special
          Sengoku
          Shock Troopers
Top Hunter - Roddy & Cathy

For instance Last Blade, the one that runs has a lastbld.zip that is 25mb and another file lastbldh.zip that is 263kb but both need to be in the folder for the game to launch.

@tropez No they don't. No idea where you got your ROMs from but these games are all a single zip file.

@tropez For example The Last Blade lastblad.zip (26.3 MB) should contain 14 .bin files. Nothing else. That's the full game. A single .zip containing multiple .bin files.

Very strange, I'm going to have to do a bit more research. Not sure why any single zip file version of these files refuse to run but the multi zip file versions run fine.

Looking at last blade, the single zip file version has 14 files in it and does not run.

The rom pack version I have has two zip files, but runs without issue.

                lastbldh.zip

It's even listed as a "Set" on the site I'm using.

@tropez Please remove the name of that ROM hosting site.
I've no idea why the ROMs are like that but NEO-GEO ROMs are not split. Get them from a different source and ensure they are the correct set to match the emulator you are using. That's the best advice I can give you.

@tropez "Sets" are just different versions of the game. lastblad.zip and lastbladh.zip are slightly different versions of the game. You have 2 different versions of the same game.
Also because of where you got them you probably have ROMs from the 0.184 MAME ROM set. No emulator in RetroPie runs this set. You might get lucky and some games run but a lot won't.

Thank you, those tips are helpful. I will keep researching.
