Weird audio in SNES
-
So im playing Super Mario for Snes just to test things out and the audio sounds off to me. its kind of hard to explain but the music sounds alright but when you go down a pipe or do Mario's spin jump or throw a fire ball it sounds weird... It also seems to be just kind of slower than usual but that could just be my imagination.
Could it be a region thing? I'm from the US. Is there a way to change regions?
-
@worcesterthecat Check your ROM, you may have a PAL ROM which played at 50Hz, this is 20% slower than the US version at 60Hz.
-
Actually, now im thinking it's most likely not a region thing cuz i just tried sonic 3 and the framerate dropped like crazy.
This might be a stupid question but could my wifi be causing the issues? I uploaded my roms over wifi, so does that mean that it loads the games off the wifi every time or does it actually physically install them onto the sd card?
-
@worcesterthecat They are physically located on the SD card. The slowdown can be caused by the pi being underpowered or the pi is getting too hot. On a pi 3?

Its a pi zero w. Its been plugged into this thing(though I couldnt get the wireless keyboard to actually work with it) on the 1A. Is that underpower?

it went to 55 when i started a game

there's the problem right there. The pi zero has some slowdown issues with many systems
-
@lostless that sucks
-
@lostless what if i disconnect the wifi? maybe it would stress it less?
