I recently got my Raspberry Pi 3 with RetroPie pre-installed.
I've been trying to play Legend of Mana and Spyro.
However, for whatever reason, after the starting screen with Legend of Mana and entering my name, it will crash.

I tried to change some settings today with the emulator (lr-pcsx-rearmed), only for none of the video and res to change. They keep staying on 1280x1080p.

Now when I boot Legend of Mana, it doesn't recognize my controller input, even after re-configuring controllers (using an Xbox 360)

Legend of Mana is the only game that will boot as well, any other games (like Spyro and FF8) will not boot, they just go back to the game index.

Every single other game I use works, such as the SNES, NES, GB and Dreamcast, it's just PSX that is having this issue.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

I hate to be the one to bring up the first link new users should read before posting, but you should really ask whomever sold you the Pi 3 with RetroPie pre-installed. We have no idea what kind of setup and configuration goes into it, what specific versions of the emulators you're using, etc. You may be missing BIOS files, etc.

The only thing I can say is that I have no such problems with PSX on RetroPie coming from a standard image from this site.

You'd probably be better off downloading and re-installing from here, to have a common base with what the users here are used to deal with. Otherwise - even though it might come across as unhelpful - people here are really mostly driving in the dark with no lights on.

      Best.

@pjft I have messaged the seller a few times already, and they have been more unhelpful than other people.
The seller said it was meant to have 3 PSX emulators, but it only had one.
It was outdated, and I had to update everything.

I'm unfortunately not sure if they can be helpful at this point.

That definitely sounds like a better idea. I'll try re-installing. Thank you

@ghuleh By all means, do let us know if and how we can help with that process.
