      Hi I have a new Raspberry pi 3 model B

      I've installed four games on it per emulator; master system, mega drive/genesis, nes and snes

      I have the parse gameslists only turned off

      After I restart the pie the games don't show up in any of the emulators, but when I'm looking at the place where the list of games should be and press the load game button it starts up a game it's playable but when I leave the game it still doesn't show up

      I've tried deleting the games and reinstalling them but it hasn't worked

      I'm not sure whats wrong I can't seam to find a way to fix

        @confetti_dreams Check the ROMs filename extension, they should match each system's expected list of extensions.
        How does - for instance - the NES folder look like with your games copied in it ? Can you give a listing of that folder ?

          @mitu Hi I've checked the ROMs and they match the list of extensions for each emulator here's pics of the NES folder on my Pi and what I see on my tv, when I hit the launch game button it loads Battletoads 0_1513515001287_IMG_4463.JPG 0_1513514881592_IMG_4470.JPG 0_1513514389411_IMG_4466.JPG

            @confetti_dreams You need to put the '.nes' files directly in the \\retropie\roms\nes\ folder, there's no not need to add them under a sub-folder, just as the documentation mentions. Do that, then restart Emulationstation from it's menu and see if the games appear.

              @confetti_dreams Placing your roms in a sub-folder shouldn't be an issue as EmulationStation should still pick them up.

              My suspicion is that you are using a third party image. There is no Add games here folder in the official image nor is there any need to have one.

              As third party images aren't supported here, my advice would be to install the official image and go from there.

                @dudleydes It's definitely a third party image.

                  Thanks for the help I tried adding the Roms just to the first folder instead of the add games one and restarted the pi and that fixed it

                  Don't know why it had that folder there as like I did, I'm sure anyone would assume that they go there

                    @confetti_dreams You should re-install using an official image.

                      from your screenshot mate, it looks like you're putting all your roms in a compressed zip file. While retropie recognises zip files, they have to be zipped individually with the name of the rom. This is why in your list it just says "add games here" as that is the name of your zip. Take them out of that zip file and then zip them individually and then reboot.
