DS Emulator is gone
-
@mitu I looked through the Log, and it doesnt mention NDS at all. And yeah, i have an nds Rom-Folder
-
@darkside1305 Is the
nds
folder present in the/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
file ? Installing the emulator from the RetroPie setup scripts should add the DS as a system with thends
folder in that file. -
@mitu Yes, NDS is Present in the es_systems.cfg
-
@darkside1305 delet the es_systems.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/ and reboot.
-
@edmaul69 That did work. Thank you! :3
-
@darkside1305 You said you didn't have a custom
es_systems.cfg
, but it turns out you have one. -
@mitu I never touched it, it aparently corrupted itself somehow.
-
@darkside1305 Do you have a new
es_systems.cfg
in the/opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/
folder now ? -
@mitu No. I dont have one anymore. Only the Backup.
-
@mitu this happens during updates too. That is how i first ended up with it. I never heard of doing this before that. I keep it though so i can arrange my systems how i want.
-
The
/opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation
is actually the same folder as/home/pi/.emulationstation
, the latter being a symlink to the former.Emulationstation reads the custom file in
/home/pi/.emulationstation
, then - if the 1st doesn't exist - the default one/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
(installed and maintained by the RetroPie setup script).I never got any upgrade to ever write a custom ES systems file in that folder, but I'm only using RetroPie since 4.2.0 - so it might have been a problem in the past.
