@paffley I don't know. I'm almost sure that no one has shared a custom MIX profile in this thread tho.
I tried to make one some time ago, but it was worthless because of layer issues back then. And it's also a little bit tedious to make MIX templates, because you have to rescrape after every change to check the results.

Anyone else getting the fatal error (problem connecting to the database) at UXS startup?

It worked earlier today, but now I just cannot get it going, but screenscraper.fr seems to work?

Have just used it to scrape the ROMs again, this time with video snaps, worked lovely. Only one issue was that the Commando video snap was of a weird Space Invaders type clone.
So will have to find the location these videos are saved in, and replace it with the correct one.
Loving this Scraper, when it works as it gives beautiful results. Now the only thing left to do is to try and design my own Theme based on my favourite Sci-Fi programmes :)

Hi @screech , I've tried to make a custom xml for 3d boxart and cartart but its not working correctly for some reason, if i upload the xml would you take a look please?

                            XML all seems fine.
When I try to choose the custom Mix, it displays author -1 etc.
When I try to scrape - no images are being scraped, well they are but nothing being exported from screenscraper by the looks of it.

                              Happy New Year everyone

Sorry guys (and girls), I weren't here a lot's these last weeks.

Life work take me a lot's of time lately.. But normally I will be a little more present now ^^

Sorry too for the server issue. Something at our provider turn wrong and the server CPU burn at 100°C permanently so we had a hardware changement. Normally all is good right now..

@paffley no problem ;) just use a pastebin so I can take a look at your XML ;)
(Don't forget some "important things" like your Mix Profil must be in a zip file without folder in the zip, the zipfile must have the same name as wrotten in the XML, relaunch UXS and choose your MIX profile ;) )

@screech spot on! Thank you, I had made the mistake of zipping up the folder as well as the files - all sorted now thank you! :)

Don't hesitate to post a screen, and if you want, I can put your MIX in the UXS Repository so everyone can enjoy it ;)

                                    For those that don't know, found the location of video's and images for the scrape here;
                                    \RETROPIE\configs\all\emulationstation\downloaded_images

Then select the folder you want.
As I know nothing of Linux, I do all this over the wireless network at home, including file manipulation, such as deleting roms or adding them. In this case I just put in the correct Commando video snap, and renamed it to commando-video (didn't change any extensions). deleted the bad one and then restarted emulation station and bingo worked fine.
Hey this forum works, I am actually learning a bit :)

Is XML Scraper down? I see 'Skraper' is now front and center. Has it replaced XML, @screech?

Also, now that I'm thinking about it... For some reason with Chrome, I cannot log in. All my extensions are disabled.

@hooperre I was using UXS some minutes ago and it worked fine for me. And Skraper is not available yet. At least I got that text when I tried to download it. Can't say anything about the login problems, because I don't have/want an account on screenscraper.

Mine just closes up after the splash screen.

When scraping for images only, the output is not the mix image selected. It is just the screenshot.
The same romset works to make the mix image if you choose overwrite the xml file.

I thought the option to just create images should still create the mix image just like the overwrite XML file choice - it just doesn't overwrite the XML, so you can just replace the current image set with the new ones.

Any idea why it is not creating the mix image file when you choose option 2, create images only?
