I'm sure everyone on this forum has encountered a question about these particular controllers on the web or on here, but I have a little different question. I recently purchased the NES30 Classic Edition Set which when I bought it I thought was coming from with a USB Bluetooth adapter only to find out when it came in that it was the wrong USB type for the Pi. It was a Bluetooth adapter/dongle for the Retro NES. So my question is, my Retropie is built on the raspberry pi 3 and since it has Bluetooth built in it, do I even need a Bluetooth adapter for the 8bitdo NES30 Classic Controller I have? I'm having trouble getting the retropie to recognize the Bluetooth device/controller. I honestly don't even know if the Bluetooth is enabled and working for it to recognize it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@j3g It should work over the built in bluetooth, have you read the docs at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/8Bitdo-Controller/ to connect it ? Make sure you update the firmware on the controller to the latest version and you start the pairing on the controller before trying to detect it from the Pi.

@mitu Thank you very much for the quick reply. That was my thoughts as well. I have read that documentation but I do need to double check the update of Retropie. I will get back to you with my results. Again, thank you!
