Hello everybody! I installed SuperTuxKart on Retropie after downloaded RetroPie Extras by zerojay.
I also installed glshim because i read that SuperTuxKart needs it to run.

Still, I get two graphic problems. The first one is that in the upper-left corner of the screen appears a white square (i guess it's a terminal panel).
The second is the biggest problem, which consist in random black polygons showing up during the races.

I post two pictures of these graphic problems.

      How can this be solved?
To run supertuxkart trough glshim do I have to modify SuperTuxKart.sh content?

      ps: I'm using Retropie 4.3.8.

If it were possible to use the experimental opengl driver it might work but that causes a host of incompatibilitied with the rest of retropie and requires a desktop environment to work at all.

This is just unfortunately how it is. I wouldn't even know where to start to fix it.

@chuck_b it wouldn't run at all otherwise?

@chuck_b Uninstall glshim, then run the game again - does it still run ?

                  Uninstall glshim

When I type sudo apt-get remove glshim it says: E: Unable to locate package glshim

@chuck_b I don't know if glshim is a package, I'm not using it.
You said you installed it yourself, so you should find the packages you installed in the first place and uninstall them, or just undo the configurations you did when installing.

                        @jonnykesh I've just tried.
Still getting: E: Unable to locate package
I'm starting to think that glshim is included in supertuxkart release.

@chuck_b it's compiled and installed manually as you can see in the script module.

                          https://github.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra/blob/master/scriptmodules/ports/supertuxkart.sh

The hardware is probably capable. The software just needs tweaking

You can compile current STK 0.9.3 with OpenGL ES support for Raspberry Pi 3. It works fine with VC4 drivers. A bit more info in this thread:
                                https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=195612

And here is a video that shows how it works:

@deveee should I unistall the version I already have before compiling it with STK 0.9.3?
