So I changed something in the retropie setup through Emulation station. I don’t remember exactly what I changed (something about controls) but now when it boots up I get my splash screen then it goes to this for a few seconds then shuts down. I’ve tried f4 and everything else. Nothing works. Please tell me someone knows how to fix it. I don’t have a backup. :(

It says on a black screen:

[ 2.197867] gamecon_gpio_rpi: at least one device must be specified
      [ 2.294857] mk_arcade_joystick_rpi: pad type : 1
      [ 2.295020] mk_arcade_joystick_rpi: pad type : 1
      _

@totallyice You - most likely - installed the ControlBlock driver without having such device attached to your system. See https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/672/a-stop-job-is-running-for-lsb-controlblockservice-init-script/18 for a solution.

@mitu No can do. One problem is that I can’t access the command line.

@totallyice Sorry, I should have said to read the whole thread. If you don't have a Linux system to read the card's contents, then you should try to boot the Pi in 'safe mode' to delete the service - https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/61638/how-do-i-start-up-in-safemode.

@totallyice Please re-read my previous message. Your system is stuck in a reboot loop so you're not going to be able to access the command line to make any modifications to fix the problem.
In order to fix this error, you'll need to delete/disable the Controlblock service, but you'll either need a Linux computer to read the card's Linux partition (won't work from Windows/macOS) or you can try booting into 'safe mode' on your PI system to have a command line to make modifications. See https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/672/a-stop-job-is-running-for-lsb-controlblockservice-init-script/13.
