January 2018 Game of the Month: Super Mario RPG
-
@hooperre Absolutely is.
-
Oh the plot twists!
-
I’m somewhat close to having beaten this already. I’ve got 37/66 achievements. I might need a game of the month for the second half of January. 😂

@obsidianspider said in January Game of the Month: Super Mario RPG:
I've never actually beaten this, but have always enjoyed it. Sadly, this is one of the few games that do not work on my SD2SNES, so I'll be using a Pi unless I come across a great deal on an English cart.
You won't regret this game! Imho one of the best RPGs on the SNES with average difficulty grade.

EFFF YOUUU BOSHI
-
Nostalgia hit me hard after I watched the video. I still remember playing this as it was the first game I ever played on a console.
-
Now you've reminded me to go back to this game and beat it! I've played it several times and always making it to the Axem Rangers and I would always stop after that for some reason. Hopefully not this time.
-
I wish there was a good fan hack sequel to this game. :\
-
I like retro games so much! Love this game! I will try to show this game for my son later )))
-
I’ve nearly got the game finished. Took a break from playing anything this past week. Planning on picking it back up this week to finish it.
I’ll never be able to get the mine ride or goomba stomp achievements.
-
It's about time to start thinking of games for February. Give some suggestions below, I'll throw one in:
Little Samson
-
Has anyone beat this? I’m going to finish it tonight. Currently in the Factory.
-
@livefastcyyoung I tried starting it several times but just couldn't.
Losing my granddad knocked me so far on my ass I haven't felt right since. But whoever finishes the game picks the next months game plus the cheevos challenge. If no one wins, or if multiple people finishes the game will each put in a suggestion which I will pick out of a hat...or Strawpoll, whichever is better.
-
hey guys remember me?
no?
okay that's fine.Anyways, WOOO! Super Mario RPG!
I finally got a working SNES so hopefully i'll try to find a physical copy of the game. The retro store I went to said it costed about 60 bucks for just the cartridge, and 100 for the game with a manual! Holy crap!
I'd also use an SNES Flash Cart, but some don't support this game (it's also sorta costly). I might have to scour on eBay to find some deals. -
@itsnitro cough cough SNES Classic Edition
They seem to be actually accessable suggesting Nintendo got their heads out of their asses and figured to put out more than 20.
-
Ah, but aren't those expensive?
also i'd like to stick with the stuff I have now because parents.
-
@itsnitro if you can find one in a store, they're $70 bucks.
-
huh.
Time to nag my parents
-
Just got the Minecart Top Dog achievement!
-
Just beat the game.
Does that mean I get to pick February’s game?
