Re: Load/Save state in Zelda (SNES)
I can save and load state but when I reboot pi I lose all save state. Is there a way to keep save data after rebooting retropie? Thanks

@colking Are you properly stopping the game ? The save states are written on the disc/sd when you exit from the emulator.
-
@mitu yes, I think so. I press hotkey and start to exit back to menu. Is that correct ? Then when I load the game again, there are no save states to load. Thanks

@colking Did you modify the save folder location ? Does Retroarch shows a succesful message when saving state (it should flash a message 'saving state') ?
Please give more details about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first -
@mitu I did not change save location folder that I know of. It does save and I can load state while playing the rom. But when I restart the load states are gone. Maybe it's this image (64gb green beast from arcadepjnks)? I could try a fresh retropie image but I really want to keep using this build if I can... Thanks

@colking Ah, in this case you can ask the arcadepjnks builder about the configurations made. We cannot offer support for 3rd party images and problems like yours is exactly the reason why the support is not possible - the builder made some configurations to the image and the basic functionality is not working. My advice is to get the RetroPie standard image and use it instead of the image you are using right now.
If you want to dig further, open the RetroArch gui and check your save folder location - the RetroPie installation will set this to the ROM folder, so the save states are always next your your ROM. -
@mitu Thanks, I'll try that.
