Dreamcast, Sega CD, Saturn, NeoGeo, 3DO and PSX. All of them require bios. I have dragged them all into the BIOS folder. None of those systems work. The logo appears and the games appear but it just returns to the screen. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure its a simple fix.

@jbryan1984 Let's take it one step at a time and provide details about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
A couple of frequent error for which require bios

        • BIOS filename does not have the proper name - Linux has a case sensitive filenames, so you have the rename the file to be exactly as needed, i.e. SCPH1001.BIN is not the same as SCPH1001.bin. Look on the emulator page in the docs to check for the correct BIOS filename.
        • If you copied both the .cue and .bin files, make sure the .bin filename is the same casing as in the .cue file - again - Linux is case sensitive. See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/PC-Engine/#pc-engine-cd

Neogeo games run via fbalpha need the neogeo.zip BIOS in the same folder as the game, not in the BIOS folder.

The BIOS file, neogeo.zip, for NeoGeo games using lr-fbalpha can be placed in the BIOS folder (source). This does only work on recent versions of lr-fbalpha.

I set up my Neo Geo system recently and placing neogeo.zipin the BIOS folder did not work on v0.2.97.39 that was installed on my system. It worked fine when I updated to v0.2.97.42.
