I choose with some friends 2 games to play for 15 days, trying to earn some achievs using the RetroAchievements feature of RetroArch.

Now we're playing Felix The Cat for NES, and X-Men Mutant Apocalypse for SNES. :D

man, the lion king was HARD. i either had or rented it when i was a kid, but looking at longplay videos, i barely got to the part where you're grown-up simba.

I still have to fire up Jungle Hunt (MAME), Exciting Hour (MAME) and California Games (Lynx) - though I only ever play the surfing :) - every couple of days. Nothing beats a couple of minutes here and there for some mindless fun.

I just can't stop playing Metal Slug, the whole series in sequence is such a gem to replay.

Right now its Transport Tycoon that gets played, just building up my empire and then let it run for itself.

I'm playing all those games I didn't have patience to finish 20 years ago... Like Ocarina of Time, Metroid Fusion/Zero, Super Castlevania.

I really love emulation, too bad I don't have the time to figure out how to get Donkey Kong 64 working. I have a camera issue with that game...

@dankcushions said in What are you playing?:

i was trying to play it legit but i ended up using save states a lot in the final few dungeons! i can't believe kids beat this game back in the day :)

The original Legend of Zelda was my favorite game growing up. At one point, I was able to speed-run through the game in just under 2 hours.

I tried playing it again recently, and those rooms of blue knights were damn near impossible.

                      I AM ERROR.

I'm getting all nostalgic over Atari 2600 games I used to play as a kid over school holidays.
Joust, Q Bert, Berzerk & Enduro were personal favourites!

Final Burn Alpha on the pi (lr-fba-next) plays the entire Metal Slug series flawlessly. Game on.

mslug games are neo geo, so they'd need the neogeo.zip as well.

ps: awesome! nice to have you around here ;p

Crazy, zany fun for everyone! I can never get tired of the Parodius series! Started out poking fun at Darius, ended up outclassing it in almost every way, if you haven't played Parodius you're missing out on one of the most entertaining side scrollers there is.
