I just followed the automatic instructions for mounting a USB drive found here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive

And it worked great, everything transferred over.

However, now I have no Retropie menu in Emulation Station, just an arcade one, which is where my current roms are.

If I go into RetroPie-Setup and reinstall, will that set me up in a loop where I have to somehow redirect my folders again?

    I'm currently running a Pi3b, with Retropie 4.3

@snipedinthehead What's in the retropie folder from your roms directory ? Did you accidentally erase it ? Or maybe you enabled the Kid/Kiosk mode in Emulationstation that hides the folder ?

You can install the Retropie menu from the Setup script, the package is in the core packages.

I don't have a retropie folder in my roms directory. I don't have one on either my micro sd or the USB drive. If it got erased, it was the system that did it, as I have literally just turned on SSH, connected to wifi, turned on USB transfer per the instructions and plugged in my USB.

If I reinstall the Retropie Menu, will that mess with the forwarding to the USB drive?

It shouldn't as far as I'm aware. If you're worried about it make a backup first
