FOYU PS3 Wireless Controller is not recognized by Retropie on Raspeberry PI 3
-
Hello people,
I'm a beginner with RetroPie AND Raspberry. So, I've bought a FOYU PS3 Wireless controller and I've tried to connect it to my RB Pi 3 via bluetooth without success.
I've installed the ps3controller package and I've tried to pair it plugging the controller to USB, then removing the cable and pressing the button to power on controller and create the pair with RB.I've been unable to do that.
I've tried several times without success. My configuration is:
Pi Model: 3
Power Supply used: 2.5A
RetroPie Version Used: 4.3.12
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website.
USB Devices connected: Microsoft Keyboard
Controller used: FOYU PS3 WirelessIf I use the controller with USB cable, I can configure it at Emulation Station startup, because it's recognized as PS3 Controller.
This is a picture of controller:
Now, my question: there is someone that can help me, please?
Thanks,
ghale -
Wireless doesn't necessarily mean Bluetooth, are you sure the controller supports Bluetooth ? To be able to configure it, you need to pair it via Bluetooth - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Bluetooth-Controller/. Are you able to see its BT address and pair it ?

Hello and thanks for reply.
Yes, it's Bluetooth.I've tried to pair it via Bluetooth pairing procedure.
It's recognized by Raspberry, but when I go to PAIR it, I got a Timeout error.Same error I receive pairing controller with my Mac (I can pair ORIGINAL PS3 Wireless controller).
I think I'll trash out the controller and use an Xbox 360 wireless controller.
