Which emulator are you using? Also, have you verified that the controller works when plugged in solo without the adapter and with?

the stock emulator for the 4.3 software and its a classic n64 controller i cant plug it in without the dual usb hub the controller does work on the n64 console also the controller configs for the PI detects the few buttons that i try to configure but what one do you set for the Z button

@gtoilet map the z button to left trigger

This is what mupen64 auto assigns the z button to on my Xbox 360 controller

@gtoilet I've been considering this. I hate to hear you're having trouble with it.

yea would like to see a controller selector in the controller found setup so you can have these connectors and just tell it im using a classic n64 controller or any other connector if you dont go buy the new usb controllers

@gtoilet if you mean the configure a controller screen, the info you want is in the docs: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/

Scroll down to the bit where it shows the controllers and what each button on them corresponds to in retroarch. That'll show you what to map each N64 button as. Anything else you don't have on the 64 pad, hold any button on the controller to skip it.
