Possible it's related to the kernel change though you're the first to mention it. I'll have to test with mine when I get a spare moment to see if I can replicate it.

@herb_fargus Thanks! Just FYI, I did do an update as soon as I installed it from the image. So I'm working with the most up to date release.
        Thanks again.

I am also having problems getting the Logitech F310 to work correctly on Retropie 4.4.34.v7+ with Raspberry Pi 3b+. I am using it with a Bartop arcade with Xin-Mo dual aracde controllers and Keyboard configured. The Logitech controller most of the time works in the main retropie interface but as soon as I go into any roms it is hit and miss. Sometimes I can move with dpad and other times my hotkeys do not work and other times it does not work at all. This controller has always been plug and play for me that is why I like it.

I had to reinstall the xpad driver and reboot for it to work again with my xbox 360 controller. Give it try.

@lostless I wonder if the kernel upgrade overrides the custom xpad driver installed by RetroPie during the 1st upgrade after the 4.4 image is installed.

@mitu I was thinking the same. But it resolved itself after a reinstall. So no harm

@lostless Well, re-installing it from the RetroPie-Setup script would add back the RetroPie custom driver package, which works, that's why I'm thinking it might be the kernel upgrade at fault here.

I can confirm that reinstalling xpad also fixed the same issues for my F710. Thanks for the tip.

Will this be fixed by the script eventually? I just updated RetroPie and had to manually remove/reinstall xpad again.

@ectoone Did you also update the kernel and OS packages during the upgrade ?
