hi mates... i been trying to scrap my Roms but with no success so far im kinda stuck so let me explain the steps i did, first i try the Steven selphs Scrap with videos, since i want my roms with Video previews enable to it.. so i follow a video tutorial

...
I did everything right like in the tutorial all need updates, install a ES theme that is video compatible etc etc no errors.. but in the end i got the room names with no snap videos picts or anything its all blank... im show a pic of it how it looks>
so i try another alternative using XML screen scraper doing it i did everything right got all the scrap images and videos i need on XML put it on the download images on emulationstation folder on retropie "im using Winscp" i did all it suppost to do but get get the same NO Image result.......
If i try to scrap my roms from "ThegamesDB" Scraper on the Pie main menu, it Does works fine they do get scrape and save it as you can see .

Steven Selph's scraper should work for most of the systems and get you the video and art/metadata for the ROMs (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/#steven-selphs-scraper). Have you checked the folders for images/videos ? Are they downloaded ?

Note that - even if the theme supports video - you still need to configure ES and turn on Video in the Gamelist vide style setting under the _UI Settings menu. What version RetroPie are you using ? You didn't fill out the info asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@jborges Is your gamelist.xml correctly written by the scraper ? Check in the /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/<system> (where <system> if one of the systems you scraped) and see if the gamelist.xml file is correctly referencing the images/videos.

@mitu

thats the good question mate.... i feel thats where the issue is but i just dont know how to fix it this xml i get lost on the <path> and stuff i still got to learn whats the right thing that need to be writen in the gamelist.xml of the system i scrape .... i need to find out if is right or wrong but i just dont know... like i said when i scrape from the pi "thegamesDB" the images shows up, i suppose the Pi does the writes the gamelist.xml the way it should be thats why it works... and when i do by screenscraper or steven stelphs the gamelist.xml file its all wrong.... i need to find the right way it should look... do you think if i take a pic of my gamelist.xml file you can check if its something wrong?

@jborges A pic is not so useful, upload the file itself to pastebin.com and show the url. Also, restart ES and upload the /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_log.txt to pastebin.com, maybe there's another error in play.
