cool. looking forward to see more work from you
-
These are awsome
-
@herb_fargus Here is one of those intros. Although it is short, it is my favorite. I'll upload some 20-27 sec intros later.
-
awesome work mate, congrats.
-
these are awesome. I keep waiting to hear "audio jungle" during the preview as many of the envato templates do hahah. Thanks!
-
@7hesandman ah very nice
-
Love the Retropie intro!
-
@dra6n oh no, I can’t stand hearing that copy protection on YouTube videos. Very amateur. Lol
-
Any plans for neogeo and Mame?
-
@newellj79 of course! But I’m currently out of state so I’ll get to the rest of the console list when I get back. You can expect new content by the 26th. I plan to have an intro vid for each console and to redo the N64 console intro because I’m not pleased with it.

@7hesandman
Awesome! Keep up the good work! -
@7heSandman
Do you think you can create a general video (aka. unknown systems)
So there is an alternative playback for videos that were not already created ;) -
These are really nice! I'm not familiar for individual console loading screens so I've 1 question: Is there a time limit on these (10-11 sec?) because the sound on some videos is cut off.

How can i get this working in retropie running in ubuntu 18.04? it is driving me crazy.
-
Answered my own question. I ended up just replacing all the omxplayer stuff with vlc commands for fullscree, no title display and then exit vlc. i also went ahead and set vlc up to not show any playback controls and to have no border. seems to work just fine. Thank you so much for making these!

@n4tur3502 Hi! Any chance you can share what did you do to get this working with VLC on Ubuntu 18.04? I'm in the same boat here xD.
Thanks in advance!
-
Well, as @n4tur3502 did, I'm answering my own question too:
- sudo apt install vlc -y
- nano /opt/retropie/configs/all/runcommand-onstart.sh
- Add line:
[[ -f /home/pi/RetroPie/videos/$1.mp4 ]] && vlc -f --no-video-title-show --play-and-exit --no-qt-name-in-title --qt-minimal-view --no-qt-bgcone "/home/pi/RetroPie/videos/$1.mp4"
