So i removed xpad, installed it again, updated it (i got the command line from git hub i dont know if its the latest version) I tried everything but the afterglow prismatic xbox controller wont still show up when i press a or anything but when i start a game and plug the controller in this shows up, look at the link https://m.imgur.com/qXjQR7G
“generic xbox pad not configured” it knows its a controller so why doesn’t it let me do the key binds -

Just a heads up; unless that power supply is rated as specifically being 5v 2.5a, you're going to run into power issues eventually.

ok but have any idea why it wont let me config?
-
I wouldn't want to speculate outside of it being related to the driver issue until it's ironed out.
-
@buzz i put everything on the top of the post
-
Does the controller configure ok in EmulationStation initially? Can you navigate the ES menus
? -
@buzz no after i updated every thing and use my key bored to go input the controls for the controller, it tells me to press a on the controller but it wont do anything, i cant config the key binds or anything, it says its supported so idk whats going on
-
@BuZz ok so when starting the system when it loads, every thing says [ OK ] but it says [ failed ] to start load Kernel Modules. see 'systemctl status systemd-modules-load.services' foe details
-
@cynital and what's the output of that command if you type it in?
-
@cynital A normal phone charger is not an appropriate power source for a Raspberry PI. Please use a proper power adapter to power up your system.
-
@buzz that the module failed ill take a screen shot later but do you have any idea or fix
-
@mitu ok whats a proper power supply?
-
@mitu Ah I didn't notice that - yeah could be power related.
-
-
@buzz is this ok? https://www.amazon.com/Black-Mini-Portable-Charger-Built/dp/B0742NFM65/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1529881809&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=pocket+juice&dpPl=1&dpID=31-lL4sd5qL&ref=plSrch im going to use it to make the pi portable so i could use it for now
-
@buzz also if its not power related could it be something else or would you have to see the screenshot
-
@cynital That may well not be suitable. I recommend getting a proper/official PSU to rule out power issues.
-
@cynital I would prefer you to copy and paste the output rather than doing a screenshot. Please see the SSH section of the documentation. You can remotely connect to the RPI to get to a terminal to type the commands.
