Which one of y'all works for Data Discs? Cause this is like the 2nd or 3rd game I've featured as the game of the month to also get a vinyl repressing in the same month.

@lilbud I see the naming of the overlays ....
I've created a small script to share custom collections maybe it can be used to optimize overlay setup ;)

        Besides from that
Shinobi remebers me on the old times as kid. A good friend of mine owned a Genesis/MegaDrive and got's the first title of the Shinobi series. It was so impressive at that time. But it's a real hard game for hard core players.

Maybe a bunch will make it through the whole game story but this is definitly not an easy rom for casual gamers :)

          Maybe it could...

Because right now the only way to get the overlays is to download them from my github and move them over the to Pi manually over ssh or usb.

            Holy shit that was difficult

Fast and smooth gameplay with an unexpected amazing soundtrack. Some mechanics are not explained to you and then a level comes along forcing you to learn it real fast. Level 6: Traps is a perfect example of this. The first part of the level you must jump between falling rocks. You have to learn AND master double jumps or you are SOL. The last level wants you to jump from pipe to pipe. You are never really taught this, but are expected to master it or die.

So I found this site that compiles reviews from magazines for when classic games release.

              Here is Shinobi III's

Hey guys, I've just uploaded some more achievements for this game. Yeah, some of them are tough! :P

                I hope you enjoy: http://retroachievements.org/game/64

@meleu Oof, those are more difficult.

How are you supposed to beat the first sub boss with no shurikins or ninjitsu or jumping or taking damage?

Now I'll edit the main post later, but the new achievements don't change what the challenge is. The challenge is still beat the game with no continues. Did you fix that achievement?

It's a kind of riddle. Once you realize how to do it, you'll see that it's not hard. ;-)

I changed the logic and I think it's fixed now. But tbh I didn't find enough free time to get it by myself.

@lilbud who developed new cheevos for this GotM has the right to suggest a game for the next month? 😇

@meleu I guess that counts. This hasn't happened before. But I guess I can make an exception.

But don't think making cheevos for the game if the month exempts you from playing the game and getting the challenge. :)

@lilbud alright, alright... I don't wanna a different treatment, then here is my ticket to suggest the next Game of the Month:

By the way, this video helped me for the final boss confrontation:

                              ;)

@meleu You wanna throw a game in for August?

Cause it seems like me and you were the only ones to complete the challenge, so there would be no point in a poll.

@lilbud hmmm... I would like to try a Master System game. Maybe Castle Of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse, what do you think?

Never played it, but it seems to be a nice platformer and with nice graphics for an 8bit system.

What also makes me take an interest in this game is the fact that the achievement set was made by one of the most talented achievement developer I know: Alena. I'm sure her cheevos won't be as buggy as some of those we found on some previous rounds of GotM.

@meleu Sure, why not. I played the remake earlier the year and really loved it.

I was going to pick Pulseman on the mega drive, but I guess Mickey mouse is better.
