      Just a note from my own experience, i updated the reicast to the retropie-setup 4.0 beta 2 version and all my pal games stopped working. However all the ntsc ones work fine including the ntsc version of marvel vs capcom 2. I would download an ntsc version just so you have both to test against it. Again this may not be a problem for anyone else but just my problem. I also havent spent any time figuring out why though.

        @Hydro You need to use putty or console, and go to the location I specified above. Quit emulation station within retropie, and you will be at the console
        cd /opt/retropie/emulators/reicast/bin

        ok

        made a file in '/home/pi/.reicast/mappings' called it controller_Venom.cfg and paste the text -

        [emulator]
        mapping_name = Venom
        btn_escape = 316

        what do i do for emu.cfg file pointing to the new map file ?

            Track 3 is the full game. You need to move all those files.

                @Hydro well it might work. the problem now could be that you have been messing with controller stuff. So keep trying to get the controller configured while using that ntsc version.

                    I meant in the terminal - in your screenshot you did not use cd /home/pi/.reicast/mappings you first did cd to another path , then on a separate line you did /home/pi/.reicast/mappings which is not the same thing.

                    The folder should be there on winscp - but make sure you have it set to show hidden files/folders (starting with a dot)

                    what do i do for emu.cfg file pointing to the new map file ?

                          This happens to me for dosbox on every pi i update. I have to go back into retropie-setup and individually redownload the program. However if i updated to 4.0 beta 2 doing full install forst apple ii and mame4all wouldnt work at all however if i chose quick install first then did full install after it was fine. Not sure if any of that might help you.

                            @edmaul69 , you think I should uninstall the Reicast core and re-download?

                                @edmaul69, nope, no dice. Dreamcast was working too, something broke it. I never messed with it.

                                  @GreenHawk84 yeah for me after the update dreamcast stopped recognizing pal games. (Crazy taxi's) I just figured they changed something in it but maybe its messed up too. I cant find a u.s. Version of the games to test.
