"No space left on device" after running resetromdirs.sh
-
Here's an interesting one.
I had 32GB free on my SD card, and I decided to run the resetromdirs.sh script (within the RetroPie-Setup script), because I had brought over quite a few roms that were tagged as root.
Well the script crashed, and now I'm left with 0 bytes of free space. Anyone have any idea what happened? emulationstation no longer starts up, and pretty much anything I do results in a "No space left on device" error.
I can't find where the data is being taken up. I've ran 'ncdu /', and it's not evident to me where the 32GB have gone to.
I really don't want to start fresh, but if I have to I will. But before I do, I wanted to see if anyone has any fixes for this issue.
Thanks!

Disregard, figured it out.
So I use an external storage HDD that is 320GB... I use that for many of my larger PC games.
Well apparently that resetromdirs.sh script, for some reason or another I don't understand, started copying (while it was performing the chmod) all the data from my external HDD to the SD card.
So I just have to go through and delete all the copied data from the SD card, and I should be good to go.

@happydad Well, all that's left then is to welcome you to this forum. :)

@happydad I highly doubt the script copied any files - it runs only
chmod
andchown
commands, no copying. You might have triggered theusbromdirs
service which copies your ROMs from the USB to the SD card (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/#usb-stick).
