ok so i have reteo pie installed on my pi2 b+ and i cant get it to see the usb keyboard on bootup but it does see my usb gamepad

also when i press select and x on my gamepad it doesnt bring me into the retroarch menu and even if i can get into said menu retroarch wont let me set a custom keybind to get into the menu I.E. i can tell retroarch that when i press the right trigger on my gamepad i want it to pull up the retroarch menu but when i click save then reboot it doesnt see to work when i press trigger any ideas

@kaitlin4599 You must set a button to be the hotkey and then a button to be the menu toggle.
And to get the configs saved, you must to enable the "Save config on exit", but be prepared to face some confusing situations. The use of "save config on exit" is discouraged in RetroPie (my words, not an official statement).
