PPSSPP Emulator Update v1.6.3
-
Hello, there is a new update for the PPSSPP emulator v.1.6.3!! Are you guys planning to update it on Retropie too? I'm not an expert, but I tried to modify the script module to use the git branch version 1.6.3 instead of the old 1.5.4, but I got some build errors. Anyway, thanks for your great job with Retropie!!

@tupc10 I already asked this and it looks like Buzz will need to add it himself whenever he gets around to it. https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18038/manually-adding-updated-lr-ppsspp-repo

@Darksavior, thanks for your really quick answer!! Sorry if my post was duplicated, but I was actually referring myself to the non-libretro version of the PPSSPP emulator. I use it because it runs faster than the lr-ppsspp for me, is there any chance to update it too? Thanks again and keep up with the great work!!

@BuZz , thanks for answering so fast! I understand and I don't want to push you guys in any way! Take your time! If it helps, I skipped the patch of file "01_egl_name.diff", because it seems that most of this patch is already included on the updated CMakeLists.txt, but then I got a build error related to SDL around 32% of progress on my Rpi3. Thanks again and hope to have helped!

@tupc10 there are afaik some still unresolved issues with the latest version on the RPI. But I will review the issue tracker. @psyke83 may have more info.
It's possible that the issue is now resolved - see the last comment here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/10458
I'll queue a build on my Pi to check soon - I'm just worried that the poor bugger will melt in this weather ;). Also - the hrydgard version now integrates libretro support, so it may be a good time to start testing lr-ppsspp compilation for Pi again (using this repo instead of our fork).

That's great news, @psyke83 !! Just have a cold beer (to solve your weather problems :D) and please keep us informed of any progress on your build!! You guys are the best!!

@psyke83 weather? You're not struggling with the 15c Irish heatwave are you? :-)
Thanks for the pr. Looks good but will check/test at weekend.

Any updates to this? I'd love to have a little bit faster PSP on the Retropie!
Thanks! -
@psyke83 Any tips on how to build from libretro's git? I don't mind testing.
