Just a heads up, everything seems to be working great. Excepting for the scraped videos. Screensaver still not correct for some reason. But ill tackle it again in a bit. Not right now... The machines both function perfectly other than that. And except for the screensavers, and adding a whole lot more games, I think they are pretty much ready for gifting!

Hi folks. Me again. Having trouble with the SSh transfer. Ive enabled SSH, and my pie is connected to the internet via wifi. My pc is connected via wifi as well. My pi, I am able to do things online such as download splash screens, download backgrounds, etc. But I cannot find it on my network on my desktop. And Win SCP cant find it either. Im not sure what else to say to describe the situation. Ideas?

@grant2258 Ive been doing that. But in this Win SCP program, it pops up with a Login box, and I cant find a section to type the IP address in. Am I missing a section?

Its working. I messed up. Watched someone do it on youtube and thought I was following the directions. Seems that they had renamed where the IP was and I didnt know that was where i needed to type the IP code. Im in.

So... Without getting into full blown website names and such... Any reccomendations on how to locate more roms? I dont want to cause any trouble. But Im having issues finding certain titles in .78 romset. Can get all sorts in .151, but titles such as castlevainia, (i know it may be rough with nintendo right now.) are eluding me.

If you are referring to Vs. Castlevainia (the arcade port) then that should be in 0.78 complete rom package.

If you are looking for Castlevainia on other systems, then you'll have to source a rom pack or individual rom for that platform.

It wasn't in the romset that I have. Dunno if it was pulled recently or was never in the set I have. But I have noticed that no Nintendo games are in that set at all. I'll have to keep looking.

                              No cstlevna.zip?
A quick google for "0.78 mame romset" or "lr-mame2003 romset" brings up several results, the first link being pretty helpful with multiple download options.

Just to be clear you aren't searching for roms for Nintendo's home consoles, those wont be in the Mame pack.

You will have to google those, while there are large romsets for them, since they can be installed (and renamed) as you see fit you can also source the individual files. But you are right after recent events the Nintendo ones will be harder to find.

@jakejm79 any suggestion for NFL blitz? That's another one I'm having issues with. Same with the other titles?

Trouble finding it or running it, should be in the 0.78 romset, does need a chd file, but also doesn't run very well. You could try the playstation version of it.

its called blitz.zip and there is an associated chd file.
Take a look at the lr-mame2003 section of the mame part of the wiki, it has a couple of useful things:

                                          1. the lr-mame2003 compatibility list (I believe there is also a pdf of it available too, that might be easier to download and search since its a large database and the google docs spreadsheet can be slow.
                                          2. There are also a few dat files, that you can use with some other programs to take that 4000+ romset to something more reasonable by removing duplicates, porn games, etc
As a basic rule of thumb anything from mid 2000s later will struggle on the pi which includes all the games with chd files.

@jakejm79 don't suppose overclocking would help with that game? It's not really my style game. but it turns out it's a favorite of my brothers.
