I appreciate your hard work. The only thing I don't like is the hard to read fonts. That's the only deal breaker for me. The rest looks great. Some people might like it as it is but this one is just not for me.

@gothrek Daphne is supported by this theme, as you can see in this update post.

If your Daphne directory is really upper case, you may have to rename it to lower case, since unlike Windows file systems, Linux file systems are case sensitive (Daphne and daphne are different directories).

Hi all, Firstly thanks for an amazing theme. I have just built a Retropie setup and recently got Metal Slug 1-5 working perfectly, we spent 3years plugging quids in to the console which was at our college with a mate.

I wondered if i could request a launch image and text logo with background for Metal Slug Collection? i couldn't find one in the posts or Github locations. Hopefully this will help others as Metal Slug is always one of the most downloaded Rom's on various sites.

Most appreciated for your time so far and i understand if you already have a million requests.

ShakaPow... if you look the skin folder, the font is included so you can create your own additions.

I'm new to retropie and am now running on an Odroid Xu4. It is wonderful and this theme is awesome. The only systems I'm missing are Atomiswave and Naomi (these systems are running great on lr-reicast). Has anyone created these systems for this theme? Thank you

The creator as moved on and said he will not be creating more system themes. This is mostly pointed at @movd and @herbi444 in case they didn't know. HOWEVER, If you have some skill in Photoshop or similar software, creating your own system theme is really not that hard. I've done it on a few systems myself and they turned out just as good. That being said, I do have a request for @TMNTturtlguy .. would you be willing to provide me the transparent "slime" image you used for the hacks as well as the hacks overlay image you put over top of the system names? You neglected to include some systems that have hacks and I need those images to create a perfect match. I can make my own, but it won't look right if they're not exactly like yours. That'd be great if you can!

@hansolo77, Let me preface this with I have never used photoshop, I have no graphic editing skills and I did this in paint.net. I attempted to made an atomiswave menu image. It is good enough for me, but not nearly as good as the officially created ones. Anyway, I figured I should share it if anyone is interested.system.png

That actually looks really good! I had trouble with the duo-tone bit.

I am aware this is no longer being developed, which is a real shame as it is by far the best theme I have seen, but to save duplication of effort does anyone have an updated theme set for the following systems:

                            pc engine cd
                            coco
                            dragon32
                            megadrive-japan
                            msx2
                            sgfx
                            ti99
                            try-80

                                  Hi all,

I've started to develop a section for this theme for windows based games. I have an x86 pc running Xbuntu and retropie and most of the games I want run perfectly through Wine. It's actually really fantastic - can even link to steam, gog, etc.

I got artwork, and snaps etc, for a few games and got the 'rip' image done but got stuck with the windows text for the main screen. I'm hoping to get a bit of help. I don't have a Photoshop license, and can't seem to replicate the font effect well in Gimp.

I've been able to hack together a windows text image using other images as you can see below, but it's not super great. I've also included my rip should anybody want to use it.

I was really hoping somebody who's had success using some of the methods noted above would be willing to spend a few minutes and whip up an nice 'windows' text for me?? :) Ideally it would be blue like the older windows icons.

                                  Much thanks in advance. Cheers.

@RussellB Though I don't know much about GIMP myself, there are two step-by-step guides for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in this thread. Click on their names to jump to the posts. Maybe you or anyone else can use them as a basis for GIMP (or Krita, see below).

You may also take a look at Krita, another free and open source image editor that is often mentioned as an alternative to GIMP. It's said to be "designed primarily for painting and animation purposes" (Wikipedia).

A quick web search got me these pages among many others:

                                            • A detailed comparison of GIMP and Krita
                                            • Krita Is the Free GIMP Alternative You Should Be Using
                                            • Using Krita for ARC comics

Originally, I switched from GIMP to Krita because it's the standard image editor for my Plasma desktop environment from KDE. For my very simple image editing purposes, I found it easier to use than GIMP, but that's just my personal and unprofessional opinion. :)
