-
Hello,
i buy a Retro Pi after last month my C64, N64 and Amiga dies a water dead, cuz i had a water damage in my flat :( .
I have some Questions and i really hope you can help me.1.How can i choice witch emulator starts the programm
2. How i can change the resolution in N64 , its a very tny picture
3. Is it normal that C64 needs very long to load?Sorry for my English, its not my native language.
-
@Nighteagle first off, sorry for your loss. I would have loved to have those computers/consoles :(
- When you start the game, press a button on the "press button to configure" screen. There should be an option for the default emulator for the ROM or the console in general. If there is only one option, then get some more emulators.
- Do the same thing as #1, except select render res instead of emulator.
- Maybe upgrading the SD card will improve bad load times.

Thank you for your your reply, i lend a xbox360 controller and try press a on the Controller but nothing happen. I try to hold the a when i start, also try to press it and hold short after starting and press it. Both all not work.
-
@Nighteagle well, make sure your XBOX 360 controller is configured. Or, start a game, then button mash a key on a keyboard. This might work.
-
@TheBlueDragon Haha, yes it works. I can Change now the resolution, but full screen is not supportet?
Ah i mean i can go to the menu like in other games where i can choice the aspect. -
@Nighteagle do you mean that there's a black line of pixels around the image on your screen?
-
yes, that i mean :)

@Nighteagle
I assume you have this problem:https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=47152
Maybe try doing what this says...?
This is of course assuming you're having the over-scan problems that are pretty common -

Ok i will read that, but think linux hates me. After i updating, now he will an login and password from me. I try pi for login and when he ask password and cant type with keyboard.
-
@Nighteagle no offense, but i don't fully understand your english, but ill try..
I assume you mean it demands a password after boot. the username is "pi", and the password should be "raspberry".
As for keyboard input not working, did you try SSH'ing into the pi, and then trying the above?also, try this:

ysy that was it, and other RetroPie Settings -> Configuration / tools -> Autostart i can turn it off.
Is there a way to reset the Contoller in Setup or somthing. After Update also the Xbox360 Conroller start und selct dont work. Haha, why i make the update, better i dont do that
:D -
@Nighteagle maybe use a keyboard to go into the RA menu, then reconfigure it from there. I believe it should be settings/input/Input User 1 Binds, then configure by selecting each bind w/ keyboard.
or maybe just configure it in ES menu

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe when you are typing the password nothing actually shows on screen, evn though it is registering the inputs? So it could be working but it just doesn't look like it's working. Maybe try typing out
raspberry
and press enter and see what happens? -

Yes, that's correct :).

@omen_peter oh yeah, you right. I thought he meant that it literally didn't work, despite typing in "raspberry" and hitting
enter
