Emulationstation crashing when using Retropi 4.4.4
-
Hardware
- Raspberry Pie 3B+
- retropie-4.4-rpi2_rpi3.img
- Keyestudio 5.25 volt 2.4 amp Power Supply
- MakerFocus RPI Armor Case with Dual cooling fans
- Rockcandy Xbox wired controller
- AmazonBasic Xbox wired controller
- No Overclocking
Issue:
Emulationstation first looses audio then locks up. Console interface is dead, but ssh still works. This has happened running various games. I have run several stress test, with no problems. Easiest way to make it fail is to start up Donkey Kong 64 and just let it run it's intro loop. After 2 or 3 hours, Emulationstation will lock up. Ususlly locks up quicker while playing game.Tried:
Upgraded emulationstation. Did not cure.
Tried several different themes. All failed
Built new sim frome same image and installed only 3 arcade games and 1 NES 64 game. Same failure
Moved sim card to RPI-3B with same config as above. Same failure.
retropie-4.3-rpi2_rpi3.img works fine on RPI-3B.opt/retropie/VERSION:
