One issue I have a few times is when I change between systems, sometimes the character is not displayed until I restart or enter a game and quit. Basically when Es is restarted. I don't experiment this scince the last changes we made on the theme, because now the main bg is dark where the character.jpg is placed, before that it was white. Maybe some improvements on the xml fixed that.

That is odd, I must admit I have not seen that ever before on the main system select screen, it has always worked really solidly for me - I will keep an eye out to see if I can replicate it.

@movisman Maybe my build has some issues. I checked the es_log and Its full of missing Roms, because I deleted lots of them but the xml still have them. Is there a way to clean the xml properly? I tried CLR mame pro but not succeed

Hi @duiz, I'll be ready to post it this week. Haven't had much time to work on recently but last night I added a bunch of custom collections and a few additional systems.

Like @chicuelo said in an earlier post, once the theme is ready I'll start a new thread as not to clog up this one.

@Wildfire Can't wait! :) Will be looking for the new thread! Did you decide on the name of your theme?

@duiz Yeah I'm just going to call it Wildfire, as mentioned earlier in this thread it's pretty much equal parts Chicuelo and ArtBook at this point so an extended name would be way too long.

@chicuelo Hi, any plans for adding character snaps for partially supported systems? I can help in finding the most popular game characters for those systems.

@rand0m Partially systems are a few and they are not very much used so that's why I didn't updated them but when I have some time I will take a look at them. It takes a lot of time to make a good looking and high quality image

@chicuelo would you make a version with horizontal scroll? I would love a to see it since I preffer horizontal themes and more if I can use slide transitions

@sergioad Only plans for vertical, when you search between games you did it vertically, so it's logical to maintain that workflow all over the theme. You can use slide transitions as well . There is a fix for the logos to maintain in back in that instance

Ok, thank you very much; which is that fix? Turning off carrousel animations?

Can anyone make an svg "logo" file for the "NEOGEO CD"? Also a controller icon png? Its been recently added onto retropie and works perfect, but we are missing the console icon and controller png.

I would make one myself, but I have no idea how to make svg files.

I'm currently making a new variation of chicuelo theme, Neon version. But missing the Neogeo cd.

                                      neon 3.jpg
                                      neon 4.jpg

@sergioad If you set sliding effect you can disable carrousel animations, or let them on and the logos will be on the background during the transition. You can experiment with combinations and use which yo do prefer :)
I like instant because when you enter a game with slide effect. It makes a horrible zoom to the snap

I like your version. you could try to give some lighting effects to the controllers as well to match the background

Thank you Chicuelo I will try that, I really love your theme. It really is the best theme for "emulationstation" in my opinion.

I am adding lots of pictures for the consoles, but I am trying to find a high res image of Neogeo CD console.

I dont suppose you could make an svg logo for "NEOGEO CD" for the select screen?

needs to be called "neogeocd.svg" atm I am trying to find an image for a controller aswell.

Is it something that would take long time? I wanted to add it into the theme as Neogeo cd is now emulated for pi.
