I've put some new roms on RetroPie, mainly for PS1 games that I now have (my little brother's old collection that resurfaced when our parents moved, which I tried running on my PS3 but the RetroPie's shaders make PS1 gaming look less ugly on HD TVs in my eyes).

I've had some problems before with PS1 games not turning up in my new files list (the new games are all *.bin files, which seems to be the extention that the older games I've put on there have too), but this time none of the PS1 games got on there after refreshing.

Now, it could be that my microSD card is full. To be honest, I've already forgotten how big the card is that I've put in there. Just to be sure, I wanted to check the files that are on there, but it's been a while and I can't seem to find my way around to where I can see how much free space I have and if there are any files in my ROM folders that are taking up dead space.

I've "deleted" some stuff from my lists before but I have the feeling that I've just removed stuff from the game lists instead of actual file deletion, and I have no idea if there are any PS1 games with 'wrong' formats on there from last year. Where/how can I find this and fix it?

      i would go this way:
enter the terminal by hitting "F4".
      Type "mc" for midnight commander.
Navigate to roms/psx/ and check what is inside ;)

Well, the problem from the files from today was... that it was all just *.bin files. I created some *.cue files, and now everything shows up.

The original question still stands though, as I'd like to be able to check all files for stuff I want/can delete.

@sirhenrythe5th thanks, will try that when I find my USB keyboard again :-)

@BillyH You can also press F4 and type the following command: df -h /
This will show you how big the sd card is and how much space is left.

Also if your Pi is conntected to Wifi, then you can open Windows explorer on your computer and type \\RETROPIE in the top bar to see what is inside the roms and bios folders (and make changes).
