Hi guys, allot of posts about this but I can't find a solution.

      Pi3 Model B rev1.2
      Retropi: 4.4.8
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB devices: Wireless Keyboard + xbox 360 afterglow controller

Problem: Startup the PSX game, black screen, I can press a button to go into the settings, after this goes away, game goes back to the game selection screen.

      What I did:

      • I followed several tutorials and managed to get the roms on the correct place with matching bin and cue files.
      • I also updated the psx-rearmed.
      • Since I can't seem to use the network sharing even though SSH is enabled [and I can see the raspberry in my router connected devices list], I used a USB to achieve this.
      • Furthermore I read that I needed a bios file. Same issue as with the roms so I used the same USB and placed the file in the bios folder on the stick, I used the file manager on the retropie to see if the file got copied to my bios folder on the retropie and it was there.
      • Before I did this my games always prompted 'bios not found, this was gone now.

Don't really know what I am doing wrong, since I am a complete noob in this, I thought it better to ask your help.

      Tutorials used:

Too much youtube! Just read the docs. Did you install the bios?

@Xercium Have you made the bin cue files yourself? And/Or acquired them from different sources? No need to go into the specifics but try to download a game from somewhere else. You can also try to find ps1 games that have been made compatible with the PSP ..they are a single .pbp file and should work as well.

@Xercium Open up the cue files with a text editor and double check that the file name matches exactly, its case sensitive.

@BobHarris I checked them myself, tried to get the roms from 2 locations (was trying to install CTR)
Will try the PSP version. But will I get that version to work with 4 players?

Not sure if I installed it correctly, but now my games stopped saying that there was no bios. So I guess it is installed?

                  What docs should I read?

Have you looked at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/ ?

@Xercium Yes 4 player will work too when you use a .pbp file.

@Xercium not sure if you are using the lr-pscx-rearmed or standalone but I had a weird situation a few months ago where I had a complete system working just fine and started on a new raspberry pi, transferred the same ROMs and bios and suddenly lr-pscx-rearmed would not load the ROMs on the new system. For the heck of it I updated lr-pscx-rearmed from binary. I had thought that would not be necessary since I just had built the new system from scratch. But then the new system worked. I saw in your initial post you said you updated the emulator but it didn’t mention whether from binary or source and if it was the lr- one so figured I would post just in case...

@BJRetro I think I did the lr. But when I went to update, I could not find the binary option. Only from source. I'm also not sure what the difference is :s
Thanks for the tip, this might be it. Will look up how to do it.
