RetroPie in a PSone case (1.0, March 2019)

So, with some help of my father-in-law's tools, I fixed an old run-down PSone into a case for my Retropie.

First things first, final (1.0) product:

I removed all the insides, cut out most of the plastic underneath the disc cover, cut apart the ending of a cheap controller so I could make it look like the Switch controller's cable was going onto the machine legitimately, and then I spray painted all the outsides red.

I know it's not as fancy as other projects, specifically the arcade ones (kind of a bit jealous at people who are that handy), but I'm pleased with my RetroPie now looking like an actual console.

It's not as noticeable in the pictures but the on/off and open disc cover symbols shine through the red coat, making it still clear what the buttons are for, as well as the memory card text at the front over the controller ports.

So, I kept the Pie in a regular case so it's more protected. If it turns out the Pi gets too hot this way I can just open the disc cover when playing, but I think it'll be fine.

Plans for future updates:

• RetroPie logo/name across the disc cover. Trying to think up the best way to do this, as there's no official stickers yet. Or maybe I'll put a Super Mario sticker or something there but I kinda want something Pi/RetroPie.
• make an on/off button that the PSone on/off button connects to. A hard, power interrupting on/off.

... That's not an Xbox controller...

... It's a Nintendo Switch controller! And one I thought very fitting for RetroPie.
