        @Paisano87 What do you have your gpu/cpu memory split set to?

            @Paisano87 Check the /boot/config.txt file on your sd card, or insert the SD card into your PC and open the config.txt file you find in there. Post the output of that file in the forum.

              /boot/config.txt

              For more options and information see

              http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt.md

              Some settings may impact device functionality. See link above for details

              uncomment if you get no picture on HDMI for a default "safe" mode

              #hdmi_safe=1

              uncomment this if your display has a black border of unused pixels visible

              and your display can output without overscan

              #disable_overscan=1

              uncomment the following to adjust overscan. Use positive numbers if console

              goes off screen, and negative if there is too much border

              #overscan_left=16
              #overscan_right=16
              #overscan_top=16
              #overscan_bottom=16

              uncomment to force a console size. By default it will be display's size minus

              overscan.

              #framebuffer_width=1280
              #framebuffer_height=720

              uncomment if hdmi display is not detected and composite is being output

              #hdmi_force_hotplug=1

              uncomment to force a specific HDMI mode (this will force VGA)

              #hdmi_group=1
              #hdmi_mode=1

              uncomment to force a HDMI mode rather than DVI. This can make audio work in

              DMT (computer monitor) modes

              hdmi_drive=2

              uncomment to increase signal to HDMI, if you have interference, blanking, or

              no display

              #config_hdmi_boost=4

              uncomment for composite PAL

              #sdtv_mode=2

              #uncomment to overclock the arm. 700 MHz is the default.
              #arm_freq=800

              Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces

              #dtparam=i2c_arm=on
              #dtparam=i2s=on
              #dtparam=spi=on

              Uncomment this to enable the lirc-rpi module

              #dtoverlay=lirc-rpi

              Additional overlays and parameters are documented /boot/overlays/README

              Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835)

              dtparam=audio=on
              gpu_mem_256=128
              gpu_mem_512=256
              gpu_mem_1024=256
              overscan_scale=0

              NOOBS Auto-generated Settings:

              #hdmi_force_hotplug=1
              hdmi_force_edid_audi=1
              #hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1
              sdtv_mode=2
              dtparam=spi=on

                @Paisano87 You seem to have enough GPU memory, which is a good thing. Check your VRAM Limit setting in Emulationstation and make sure you have more than 80 Mb allocated (try with 120Mb also). Restart Emulationstation after you change the settings and see if you get better results.

                    @Paisano87 In the Emulationstation menus, activated by pressing Start.

                        @Paisano87 Then you might be using an older Emulationstation version - you can check your version at the bottom of the menu, after you press Start . What version are you using ?

                            @Paisano87 That is not supported by the theme - and by a lot of recent themes. Are you using RetroPie or not ?

                                @Paisano87 Then please use a recent version, your version is probably too old - or badly configured - and doesn't have a current version of Emulationstation.

                                  There is some way to update emulationstation without the need to re-record retropie?, is that I have a multiboot in the SD card and that would entail staying without the other systems
                                  Thanks

                                    @Paisano87 Sure, each package can be updated individually - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#updatinginstalling-individual-packages. But your system might be so old that the update has a chance it would not work.

                                      Try to update the package individually and it worked perfectly, I already have the theme applied !! Many thanks!!

                                        so is this project dead? There havent been any of the promised updates in half a year. If @ruckage no longers wishes to maintain it I wish he would say so.
