pcsx-rearmed and ps4 controller
-
Hi guys, I wanted to ask you if you could help me, I am very new to raspberry pi and retropie. I bought a pi zero w and installed retropie on it and connected both the dualshock controllers from my ps4 to it via bluetooth and they work great with all the games I have, apart from the psx ones. I installed pcsx-rearmed and with every game, the only thing that is recognised from the controller is the left analog stick, nothing else. Do you know how can I fix it?
Thank you so much to all of you!

@marco981 According to the docs the controller configurations for pcsx-rearmed are located in
/opt/retropie/configs/psx/pcsx.cfg
Have you tried editing those? I guess you are stuck using the non-libretro version of pcsz-rearmed because you are using a pi zero, so retroarch can't configure the controls automatically.
The docs page has more info as to what buttons map to what.

@GoldManSex778 I checked the path you suggested, I don't have that .cfg file. I tried to reinstall the emulator, but nothing has changed. On top of that, when, in game, I press esc on the keyboard and I enter in the settings menu (I guess it's the retroarch one) it doesn't allow me to remap the controls, for keyboard or controller. I tried to use the ontroller with the wire instead of bluetooh, but no luck there either.

With pcsx-rearmed you can press escape and the menu is black with white monowidth font. The lr-pcsx-rearmed is retroarch and has a colored menu gui.
I would try installing and trying the other of which you haven't tried.
If it is pcsx-rearmed then the controls will still need to be mapped. Navigating the menu to do this I think is possible with the controller but perhaps easier with the keyboard, as well the escape button needs to be pressed. In the controls menu, assign the buttons, if you press left and right on this screen it will show you Keyboard/Joystick/All binds. And don't forget to save the config when you're done.
You could also try installing the alternate driver, for sixaxis/playstation. The sixaxis helper driver is newer and allows other controllers to sync and use bluetooth.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
