    I use ApplePi-Baker to write and backup my retro pie images, but it is a 32bit app and will not be supported in the future as OSX is losing 32bit compatibility.

    Does anyone know of a similar 64bit app that does the job?

      @chubsta

      I don't know of an all-in-one solution, but as far as flashing is concerned, Etcher is a great alternative. Cloning could be handled by any number of available options, including the built-in 'Disk Utility'.

        thanks for the quick reply, I will take a look at that. I am still hoping APB will be updated but as it is free software and may be a fair bit of work you can never be sure...

          @chubsta macOS can write the image directly with dd - just like under Linux, you don't need a dedicated program to do that.

            An old topic, but you may want to give the new ApplePi-Baker a try;
            https://www.tweaking4all.com/hardware/raspberry-pi/applepi-baker-v2/

            64 bit, signed, no more sudo password (Apple Security Guidelines compliant), more compression formats, more stable, etc etc.
            Hope you like it. Feel free to give feedback.

              @Hansaplastique Thank you for this great little program !
              Am I reading this right - is it developed in FreePascal using the Lazarus IDE ?

                  OMG, for some reason I never received a notification concerning the two replies ... I'm so sorry! Really do not want to come across as a snob hahah ... and here my replies 2+ years later ... (I'm blaming Covid)

                  @mitu - So yes, APB was developed in Free Pascal using the Lazarus IDE 😊

                  @hiulit - Thanks 😊
