lr-genesis-plus-gx not recognizing 6 button controller input settings
-
I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3B+
Controller: PS3
USB devices: Flash drive, keyboard, PS3 controller
Built using download from RetroPie site
Retropie version: 4.4.12
RetroArch 1.7.6I originally remapped all my genesis games to Picodrive, but didn't realize that lr-genesis-plus-gx is the better emulator until I almost got done remapping all the games to suit my needs. So I'm going back in with genesisplus-gx and following the instructions here (https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Mega-Drive-Genesis) by switching to MD Joypad 6 button and saving as core remap file. I tried it out with Mortal Kombat II but it's not recognizing my remapped controls under game Save Game Remap File (either before or after I save it).
Strange thing is, I edited 6 button controls for Time Killers and it recognizes it just fine and its using Joypad Auto but Joypad Auto doesn't work for Mortal Kombat II.
How do I get it to recognize my remaps for 6 button games?

@leitmotiv some games have to have 6 buttons enabled in the in game options, I seem to recall having to do that in MK II

Oh my god... I can't believe I forgot about that. That's totally it. Thanks!
However, I think what threw me off, is that Mortal Kombat (the first one) doesn't have a 6 button option in the menu, but I see it listed as a 6 button game and it's not cooperating with lr-genesis-plus-gx. Not sure what's going on there...

@leitmotiv I’m pretty sure the first one is not 6 button compatible. I was 12 and bought it the day it came out, The only thing bigger in life was when Dre dropped the Chronic. ABACABB

Yeah I wouldn't think so either, but it totally works with 6 button in Picodrive
