Ipac2 Dual Joysticks same input question

Hello,

I am working on my second cabinet build and decided to go with the Ipac2 this time. My question is, is it possible to wire two joysticks to the same input on the Ipac2? I'd like to set up a Sanwa 8-way standard stick as well as an 8-way flight stick and be able to use both without having to configure each in EmulationStation each time. Is this possible?

It might be possible with xboxdrv to map both joysticks to a single - virtual - joystick, but it takes a little to configure - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Universal-Controller-Calibration-&-Mapping-Using-xboxdrv/.

MAME based emulators can map both devices to the same input (use the native MAME input configuration), I'm not sure about RetroArch.

you could also just hard wire both joysticks to same inputs ;)

Just wire them to the same inputs. I have done it a couple times and works fine.

@Geoffyb25 is the flight stick an analog joystick? If so, you cant wire digital and analog controllers together.
