      Unfortunately I do not have, I only know that it comes with 4 12v cables, grounding, COIN AND COUNTER.

      NOTHING ELSE. ANY IDEAS??

              its ok i found it think its the same as your use the coin and counter for the button. tutorial is here

                I agree but in my opinion it is wrong because he takes the signal from COIN and from the meter - in my opinion it makes no sense ....

                  makes sense the coin and counter will only register when a valis coin is detected creating a button press. The short (beep) in the video will create a button press on the usb encoder

                    In sum....
                    sockets in usb encoder connect Coin and Counter and should such connection work?

                      connect it to one of the joystick wires and plug it in your selected button

                          7:45 8:14 in the video i posted you just connect it like a normal button just connect the wires

                              @grant2258 I have followed this video, but I can't get it to work properly. Maybe it is a version issue (I use a CH-616). When I connect the COIN and COUNTER to the encoder, the voltage is always running. It seems like the contact of the coin module is not potential free. So when I try to use it in retropie, it constanly thinks I am throwing coins in it. Did anyone get this running properly?
