      I'm going mad trying to get a particular MSX game to run. lr-bluemsx won't load it, while fMSX loads and runs it fine but is an absolute trainwreck controlwise (let's not even get into the specifics there).

      So I tried installing OpenMSX, but it wouldn't. I get this incomprehensible gibberish as an error log, mentioning libao-dev and tcl-dev (whatever the hell those are) and Steamlink (which I don't have installed). Anyone give me any clues?

      You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
      The following packages have unmet dependencies:
       steamlink : Depends: libc6 (>= 2.24) but 2.19-18+deb8u10 is to be installed
       tcl-dev : Depends: tcl8.6-dev (>= 8.6.0-2) but it is not going to be installed
                 Depends: tcl but it is not going to be installed
      E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
      Could not install package(s): libao-dev tcl-dev.

        @SpudsMcToole your RetroPie-Setup is out of date. Also Jessie is no longer supported. You should start from a recent Stretch based image (like 4.5.1).

          @BuZz After literally thousands of hours building and refining my current install I can think of absolutely nothing more horrific and traumatic than installing a whole new OS iteration and starting again from scratch.

            @SpudsMcToole backup sdcard. Backup then restore configs and roms on new image.

            If you don't want to do this, unfortunately you won't be able to install some emulators.
