Hello. I have never used Retropie before. But have used Zsnes, and MAME for Windows.
Should I buy Raspberry Pi 3, or Raspberry Pi 4? Is there anything Raspberry Pi 4 does better?

it's difficult to say. we've not released retropie on pi4 yet, and it will be a while before the full picture is revealed. ultimately it depends what systems you want to play. n64 and dreamcast SHOULD be much better. the rest were fairly decent on pi3 so shouldn't be much difference beyond some extra functions that we may now have overhead for (input lag reduction, rewind, shaders, etc)

I just got my first pi (rpi 4) to play NES games and got the controllers too only to learn now that Retropie doesn't work with it yet. Can you please provide a more accurate ETA on a release for rpi 4? Are we talking 1-2 weeks or a month or more down the line? Thank you.

@KingRulzNot just go to the Lakka website and download their raspberry pi 4 nightly if you honestly can't wait.

Depends on what you want it for. RetroPie doesn't support Pi 4 yet. If you want it to run things like Dreamcast, PSP, 3DO, Saturn, or even N64 smoothly you'll want to get the Pi 4 and wait for the software to get ironed out on the new system.
