I made a theme based on "Locomotion" but I'm having some issues with carousel logos and background images flickering or not loading at all. I would like to make a few basic changes but most of the time I edit the XML files I don't get the desired result. Could some experience theme creators/editors point me towards a forum topic that I missed or offer some some "fundamentals" that I'm missing?

For me, I always found working with 1920x1080 images/backgrounds results in bad UI on pi 3b/3b+(such as your issues). Nowadays I always work in 1280x720 resolution on my pi's as this defeats the high res image issues I was having (flickering, white, sluggish carousel etc).

There really isn't any difference tbh as pixels are pixels whether at 1080p or 720p.

The new pi4 may change this tho as its more capable.

      Hope this helps.

@paffley Thank you! I'll give this a try!

update: This did the trick! My carousel assets and backgrounds load perfectly after resizing the backgrounds from 1920x1080 to 1280x720. Thanks!
