Jzintv not finding my /opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv/bin/jzintv

Hey all, so none of my Intellivision Roms run with jsintv, despite me having it installed. They always flash and send me back to the rom selection menu. When I checked the log file, I see at the end: /opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv/bin/jzintv: No such file or directory
I did notice that there was no such folder, which was weird, considering RetroPie seems to have installed it somewhere and given me the option. So I found the install files with the bin folder, did the whole ssh routine, added the files so that directory it’s looking for is now populated with the bin folder, including jzintv. However, the same “no such file or directory” message above is still appearing and it’s still knocking me back to the menu screen. Is this a known bug with the recent Retropie? I’m on a raspberry pi 3.

@SavedByZero You may need 2 bios files: exec.bin and grom.bin.

@SavedByZero Did you install the emulator from the RetroPie-Setup script ? It's not installed by default.

I don't fully understand what the 'ssh routine' involved - did you copy the emulator from another system ?

Okay, the problem was that there wasn’t keyboard hack file. The error log was misleading; it told me there was no such directory when in reality it was the hackfile that it wasn’t finding. Once I added even a blank hack file, jzintv ran the games successfully (albeit with the keys in very weird places, until I learned how to actually map them)

By ssh I mean exactly that. Copying bin files with ssh. Is there some other way to get them from the machine I downloaded them on to the pi? Installing jzintv from the RetroPie setup directly didn’t seem to put them where the documentation tells you to put them (opt/RetroPie/emulators had no jzintv folder even after I installed it, so I had to copy it manually from the GitHub repo)

If there is no /opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv folder after installation, then it means the installation didn't complete correctly. Note that the install doesn't add a hackfile, so if your configuration included one, you'll have to add it manually.
