I have a really old Logitech WingMan Formula Force wheel and pedals from back in the day. I can plug it into my Pi 3b and when I run jstest /dev/input/js1 it is detected as a Joystick (Logitech Wingman Formula Force) with 5 axes and 13 buttons. I can see Axis 0 move when turning the wheel, as well as Axes 1 and 2 when i step on the pedals.

Also, if I run fftest /dev/input/event3, I am able to run the Periodic sinusoidal, Constant, Spring and Damper effects.

EmulationStation does not detect this device when going to the configure input menu on the latest version of retropie.

Does anyone know how I can use this device, specifically with MAME games?

      Thank you,

      -Gblachstein

I know this is quite old but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I am trying to set this up again using a new pi 3 and RetroPie 4.5.1. I get the same thing, emulationstation doesn't see the controller but it looks fine running the jstest program. What can I do to allow the controller to be used in RetroPie.
